
Independence High School welcomed Paris Jamison, a 2017 alumna, to all three College & Career Readiness classes this morning. Ms. Jamison, a licensed funeral director and embalmer with Funeral Community Directors, explained the requirements needed to work in this career as well as duties and responsibilities. She also explained the embalming process and answered numerous questions regarding this unique profession. Also welcoming Ms. Jamison was her mother, Lontina Jamison, who teaches physical education at East Tate Elementary.




Title One Meeting and Beta Induction is rescheduled for January 26th.

We love seeing our Wildcats making a difference! Last night four of our seniors and two Class of 25 grads ran in the Light Garden Charity 5K. Austin, Ian, Madalynn, Gabriella, Chris, and Peyton - what an awesome way to kick off Christmas vacation! Our Wildcats are making a difference for Make A Wish! Follow their lead and make a difference in someone's life today!

Congratulations to Senior Austin Eddie for signing with Blue Mountain Christian University today in Powerlifting.

Our newspaper staff members had a great time packing Blessing Bags for students at East Tate. Thanks to Mrs. Kassie Isbell, the ET PTO, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church for allowing our students to be part of such a great experience.

Maison Smith, the Ole Miss Admissions Counselor for Tate County, set up a table today in our Common Area for "Future Friday". Ms. Smith was able to visit with several students who expressed an interest in attending Ole Miss.
