Jr High Prom tickets will be on sale May 1, 8, and 15th during Jr High lunch!
Learning at IHS takes place even in the hallways! Learning is fun! The students displayed transverse standing waves using a Slinky.

Miranda Kelly, who will graduate next month, expressed to Mr. Harris her interest in elementary education. To provide Miranda some experience, he arranged for her to job shadow in Ms. Laurie Lentz's first grade class at East Tate Elementary School. Miranda is seen here helping students write sentences.
Independence High School welcomed Dr, Courtney McMullen to all College & Career Readiness classes today. Dr. McMullen, the Director of Associate Nursing at NWCC, is a 2004 graduate of Independence High School. She explained the numerous duties of a nurse in addition to the types of nursing certifications. As a "hands-on activity", Dr. McMullen allowed several students to use a stethoscope and allowed several to wear gowns needed when treating a highly contagious patient.
Jayden Glosson and Townsend Keizor fished the North Ms Youth Anglers Tournament at Pickwick Lake this weekend. They caught several bass but were not able to beat the Pickwick Lake 15 inch bass slot limit to pull out a win. We are proud of all of their hard work and the dedication they are showing by getting up at 4 am for blast off and fine tuning their skills for their upcoming State Competition at Sardis Lake May 30th. Good luck to our Indy Anglers!
We would like to congratulate senior Caleb Jackson for being named the Senatobia Rotary Club Student of the Month for the month of April. Welcoming Caleb to the Rotary Club meeting were Jeff Underwood, George Harris, Caleb's mother Courtney Jackson, Tate County Schools Superintendent Alee' Dixon, and Cliff Johnston.
Congratulations to the Softball team for their win over Holly Springs tonight - 19-2. They are District Champs! 🏆
